Top 3 Workout Motivation Tips

With the new cheer season kicking off as we speak, I have had to find some motivation from somewhere deep within my soul to get my butt into gear. I've had a pretty relaxed year when it comes to the gym which has worked for me quite well as it's meant that when I do go, I really get into it without getting bored. Now is the time for me to really get back into it so I can get 'competition body ready'.

This got me thinking about what it is that keeps me motivated and going to the gym, and there are quite a few factors. BTW, this post is not going to be a guide that tells you to get up at 6am and go for a run followed by 1000 squats and then come home and eat egg whites and steak for breakfast; they are quite simple and somewhat obvious things that I do to keep myself motivated. Some of which any 'expert' in the fitness field may read and think 'ppfftt amateur', so I apologise in advance, but if your just an ordinary person who struggles to get themselves in the gym because there is far too much good stuff on TV, friends to catch up with and hair to wash, then let's go!

FIND YOURSELF A GYM BUDDY
Once you find said gym buddy, it makes it so much harder to cancel, because it would mean cancelling on them too, and there is only so many times you can do that before it becomes damn right rude! It's also a really good way to keep each other motivated and it makes doing your chosen exercise more of a sociable activity too.

PINTEREST
Pinterest is useful for so many things, and it doesn't fall short when it comes to gym help either. Be that finding absolute #abgoals #bodygoals on there, workout plans, diet plans, motivation quotes - Whatever you're looking for, there are always answers on Pinterest.

FIND AN EXERCISE THAT YOU ENJOY
And that may include being thrown up in the air and attempting to tumble week in week out in my case. There are now so many ways to keep active, and that need not mean running on a treadmill until you lose the will to live. There are literally classes everywhere, from trampolining to horse riding to Zumba.

INVEST IN SOME NEW GYM GEAR
There is nothing that motivates me more to go to the gym than having new gym clothes. This new set from Ellesse gave me all the motivation I needed to get back on it. The leggings are so comfortable, light-weight and being full length make it perfect for the upcoming colder months.

I am also absolutely in love with the top & sports bra combo - I've not had anything like this in my workout wardrobe before but it's so convenient and comfortable. I also think the whole outfit together looks great -- if I do say so myself.

Do you have any tips that help you to stay active?
