Top 5 beauty favourites of 2016

.

I actually can not quite believe it's the end of 2016, and I know that's probably the most common grounds for small talk at the moment, but seriously, where has the time gone?! But with another year coming to an end, I thought it was a great time to talk about some of the best beauty bits of 2016, because there has been a lot! I think 2016 was the best year for me in terms of finding new products and repurchasing the same things for my make-up kit.

1. JEFREE STAR LIQUID LIPSTICKS
This has got to me my all time, number 1 product for 2016. They are just incredible. I tell everyone I speak to to buy them, and I'm yet to find anyone who has been disappointed. Long wearing, non-drying and they come in a range of amazing colours - what more could you possibly want?!

2. MARIO BADESCU FACIAL SPRAY
Working in an office or anywhere that has aircon rules havoc on my skin and really dries it out. That changed when I started using this spray. I use it probably 2-3 times a day whilst I am at work, and I have noticed a huge difference in how my make-up goes on and how soft my skin is - this will definitely be making it's way back onto my desk in 2017.

3. NIP & FAB NO NEEDLES SERUM
I've spoke about this in another blog post, but I couldn't put together a list of all the best products and not include this one. If you've got some fine lines you want to get rid of, give this a go! (You can read my full review here).

4. NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION
I think 2016 saw me fall in love with a new foundation. I've been loyal to Estee Lauder Double Wear for YEARS. But I realised a week or so a go that I have been reaching for my NARS foundation much more. It's got a really lovely coverage and leaves your skin looking like satin, and it doesn't dry your skin out, so for me, it's got to feature in this post as I think throughout 2016, I used this the most.

5. THE WET BRUSH
I only started using this towards the end of the year, but nonetheless I still discovered it in 2016. In short, it's just a really good brush. If you're anything like me and get out of the shower with the worlds knottiest hair, this brush will be a god send!

So that brings me to the end of my top 5 beauty products of 2016, and also to the end of my last blog post for 2016. So all that leaves me to say is Happy New Year!
