20 things only your nan can teach you

1. That your parents don't always know best (and you're never too old to get told off by your mum)

2. There is no such thing as too many biscuits.

3. No matter how much you insist you've had to eat today, you will always need fattening up.

4. Photos are a present which will always be appreciated.

5. Adults are fun and hip

6. All you could possibly ever need to know about love, boyfriends, girlfriends, breakups and everything in between.

7. Nothing is funnier than watching your nan try to understand snapchat filters.

8. The older the get, the more ruthless you become on social media.

9. You are never too old to get drunk.

10. Bailey's is bloody delicious, and it is not just for Christmas.

11. A cup of tea can make everything better.

12. That bingo can be pretty dam fun.

13. Bingo is not as easy as it looks. These oldies are ruthless.

14. That you are the best grandchild in all the land.

15. That every fridge magnet has a story behind it.

16. That manners don't cost a damn thing.

17. That lard, butter and goose fat are all essentials to cooking an amazing roast.

18. That stair lifts are NOT toys (until your mum has gone and then you get to ride  up and down on that thing like a roller coaster)

19. That family is the most important thing in the world.

20. And that if being like your nan is anything to go by, getting old really isn't that bad after all.
